Even though this game wasn't well-liked by long-time Devil May Cry fans, it's still a decent experience to go through, thanks to the how smooth the gameplay and combat is, the variety and quality of the level design and the soundtrack by Combichrist and Noisia helps this entry in the iconic Hack-n-Slash franchise stand out more. Never Surrender by Combichrist and Lilith's Club by Noisia are the 2 stand-outs for me personally. This game also has some features that would be later incorporated into Devil May Cry 5, for example; the dynamic soundtrack changing depending on what rank the player has during combat.
It's probably the second easiest game in the franchise to Platinum, even when the DLC trophies from the PS3 version are now mandatory to obtain, but Vergil's Downfall is nice and short and isn't a big issue to deal with, thanks to how easy it is to launch enemies off the edge of the level.
