As a console player I have much more fun with Ascended thanks to the Mods

but the game itself is so much more unstable than Evolved, that every time I decided to play on my single player save is a toss up on whether or not I get to play without any crashing for hours, a crash within the first like 30 minutes, to the save itself just crashing instantly anytime I try to open the save period, and I don’t even have full mod capacity

If they actually put in the work to actually FIX that kind of thing Ascended would be a net improvement over Evolved for sure, but we all know Wildcard and the word “fix” is not in their vocabulary.

The only outside company that fully understands Unreal Engine is Epic Games, and even then I'm not so sure. You don't exactly see them offering their services to every dev studio using the engine.
