About This Game
A modern reimagining of one of the most iconic games of all time, Final Fantasy VII Remake harnesses the very latest technology to recreate and expand Square Enix's legendary RPG adventure for the current generation. Set in a post-industrial fantasy world that has fallen under the control of the shadowy Shinra Electric Power Company, take on the role of Cloud Strife - a mercenary and former member of Shinra's elite Soldier unit - and team up with anti-Shinra organization Avalanche as they step-up their resistance.

This may be a biased review so do with it as you will. But this game was everything I wanted in a FF7 remake and then some. FF7 was my first RPG and the game that got me hooked into the genre. Being able to relive my childhood with modernized visuals and gameplay is indescribable. The trophies are challenging enough but, with the most recent update the platinum difficulty dropped drastically. There are a few grindy trophies but, most seem straightforward enough. Beating the game in hard mode is no longer a real challenge if you use the built-in cheat menu. Though even without the cheats once you get your Materia right it's not too daunting of a challenge.
