I am recommending this game solely because it is a Final Fantasy game and if you want to experience the growth of the series as a whole you cannot skip it. It is my least favorite Final Fantasy game mainly because of the level system. Overall, it captures the old school RPG vibe perfectly. No idea where to go or what to do until you talk to the one random NPC that points you in a general direction. The platinum experience is that of the rest of the Pixel Remasters. All items, locations, and bestiary entries. Beat the game and like one or two random trophies outside of that. If you want to experience all of Final Fantasy, then play it. If not, then don't worry about it.
